Becton Centre Project

Early in 2011 we completed a shared project to create an installation for the Becton Centre for Children and Young People in Beighton, nr Sheffield

 

46 members each contributed a small piece of work that is 12cms wide and no more than 90cms long. The chosen theme was 'Variations on Blue, Green and Purple'. These colours are considered to be calming and are used throughout the unit. Participants were given a free rein with the design work, choice of fabrics and techniques used. The individual pieces were organised into several groups before being mounted and framed ready for hanging in one of the buildings corridors.

 

This project has been provided by The Arts for Health Programme funded by The Children's Hospital Charity.
