My work is firmly based on visual exploration in sketch books and loads of colour. Designs are worked up through drawing and painting to eliminate all superfluous detail whilst maintaininga certain reality allied to strong decorative elements.
I usually interpret these with dense free machine stitching but on occasion use collage and hand stitching. Work can be framed, stretched or made into hangings.
