Eva Hulley
Observation and experimentation feature largely in the pursuit of my personal line of enquiry. I draw inspiration from structures, how things work, materials and their qualities. My work may be 2D or 3D, containing various media.
The uniqueness of the ‘every day’ concerns me, and how it often goes unnoticed. Currently fragments from my street form my collection - that which is worn or discarded is of interest to me. Organisation of collected objects, exploring relationships and similarity of line is pursued. Highlighting fragments can shift the emphasis. It lifts parts out of the ordinary, and makes a cohesive whole. |
