I have always loved “making” and at 9 years old I clearly remember deciding that ART was to be my future! It has been a constant in my life although my career has been as a nursery teacher with the huge joy and privilege of sharing with young Children as they explore and learn.
When my own children were small I worked from home as a free lance prop maker for BBC TV. I learned resourcefulness and inventive thinking.
Now I am retired from full time teaching, I still love working in schools, most recently with two schools for Sheffield Art Education “Room 13” project where the children lead. Occasionally I run workshops for students and early years workers.
